Doctors Changing Course On Heart Treatment

Major changes are starting to take place in the medical field as more and more MDs start to open their eyes as to why traditional heart treatments are having so little success. One example is below of a 25 year heart specialist veteran with over 5,000 open heart surgeries who has finally decided that what he and other MDs are doing to treat heart disease is not effective. The basic premise of heart disease being caused by cholesterol and fat intake is seriously flawed and that has caused treatment protocols to be incorrect and ineffective causing more harm than good to millions of heart patients. Cholesterol and fat (good fats) are natural and necessary in the human body and any effort to artificially lower them is counterproductive and harmful to your health.

I have been saying this for several years now after seeing proof on so many levels while mainstream medical doctors chose to ignore the facts in order to maintain the status quo in their profession. It all comes down to nutrition for heart and total body health. This will be confirmed on a much larger basis as more and more people begin to understand the real causes of illness and start realizing that the tainted information provided by the large pharmaceutical companies was based on controlling their market and not on the real needs of people.

Please read the article below recently published in NaturalNews:

World renowned heart surgeon renounces mainstream heart health practices

(NaturalNews) It is very encouraging to see a mainstream medicine insider with impressive credentials come out and confirm what some of us outsiders have known for a while.

Dr. Dwight Lundell has been a heart specialist MD and surgeon for 25 years, having performed 5,000 open heart surgeries. He was Chief Surgeon at the Banner Heart Hospital in Mesa, AZ, and he ran a successful private practice.

This is how he begins his personal testimony: "We physicians with all our training, knowledge and authority often acquire a rather large ego that tends to make it difficult to admit we are wrong. So, here it is. I freely admit to being wrong."

Dr. Landell's current perspective on heart health

Dr. Lundell has seen through the cholesterol hoax, the low fat diet scam recommended by medical authorities, and the high adverse risks without benefits of statin drugs. From his experience as a heart specialist, he realizes that statin drugs are more dangerous than high cholesterol (http://www.naturalnews.com).

He maintains that lowering cholesterol unnaturally invites other health issues. Our bodies need cholesterol for cell walls, nervous system sheathing, and brain matter. Cholesterol is part of our necessary physiology. Cholesterol is also converted into various hormones by the endocrine system.

Dr. Landell points to low fat diet recommendations as a major factor for raising cardiac and diabetes issues statistics nationally. He points out that healthy fats do exist and they're important. Medical dietary recommendations have expanded an already toxic food industry by promoting unhealthy fats (
http://www.naturalnews.com/035033_cholesterol_disinformation_fats.html).

Dr. Landell has seen evidence of inflammation within blood vessel inner walls while performing his many heart surgeries. Inflammation, he asserts, is the cause of heart disease and other chronic health issues. This has been explored by a few other MDs and naturopaths over the past few years.

So now that he's out of the Medical Mafia Matrix, Dr. Lundell is promoting nutrition with whole foods and healthy fats. He has written a book, The Cure for Heart Disease: Truth Will Save a Nation, and has founded the Healthy Humans Foundation.

He warns that toxic processed oils are pervasive, saturating processed foods and market shelves. This contributes to an omega-6 to omega-3 imbalance for most of the population. The omega-6 to omega-3 ratio should be 3 to 1, or inflammation will definitely occur sooner or later. Among Americans, this ratio is sometimes as high as 35 to 1.

Kudos to Dr. Landell for stepping out of the Medical Mafia Matrix to realize the value of nutrition for heart health and debunk several decades of AMA and Big Pharma cholesterol myth-making that slandered healthy fats.

Dr. Landell is one of the more prominent mainstream medicine members stepping out to slowly unravel the false paradigm for heart health, which even many alternative health practitioners have fallen for.

If you know someone who is being treated for cardiac problems without real progress and is reluctant to take advice from anyone that doesn't have MD after his or her name, send that person to Dr. Landell's website (

My comment:
It is important to keep in mind that only the body can heal itself. No amount of drugs can change that fact. Your body needs quality nutrition to go about the process of healing itself on a daily basis and repairing the damage caused by constant exposure to toxins, poisons and other environmental pollution hazards. If you do not provide this needed nutrition then your body will slowly deteriorate until you start to show signs of one of the common illnesses that are so prevalent in today’s world. Diabetes, heart disease, cancer and generally poor health are all a result of poor nutrient intake preventing your body from doing what it is designed to do… heal itself.

That is why I stress how important it is for everyone to add high quality supplements to your diet because it is almost impossible to eat enough to meet your nutritional needs with the foods of today compared to the foods of our forefathers.  Common vitamin supplements found in every retail store are synthetic based and do not use whole foods as a source of their nutrients. They are mostly a waste of money. Only whole foods will be effective in your body and therefore it is imperative that you use a whole food supplement of high quality. The very best of the whole food supplements are produced by Standard Process (SP). If you only want to take a minimum amount of supplements then you at least should be taking Catalyn and Cardio-Plus by Standard Process.

Catalyn can be used as a great multi-vitamin.  Cardio-Plus has a great combination of heart nutrients along with Calcium Lactate (the natural form found in plants) with Magnesium, and vitamin E (the whole vitamin E composition rarely used in retail brands) and the whole vitamin C complex as found in nature and not to be confused with Acorbic Acid which is used as vitamin C in almost all supplements currently on the market.  I believe everyone over 30 should be taking Cardio-Plus for heart and circulatory health. Why not prevent heart disease instead of trying to treat it later in life.

In addition to any vitamin supplements you should also be taking an Omega-3 supplement in the form of fish oil, cod liver oil or krill oil.  Krill oil has the advantage of needing only one capsule per day compared to 2-4 of the fish oil, but Krill is a little more expensive.  Costco does carry Krill oil now if you are looking for convenience and a good deal. Standard Process products can often be ordered on Amazon.com even though they are only supposed to be sold direct to doctors. Because the Standard Process supplements are just nutrient dense whole food and not mega doses of isolated synthetic vitamins, you will need to take more of them than the typical mega dose vitamins you may be used to. The typical recommended dosage is 3-9 tablets per day.  Unless you are treating a chronic condition I would start with 3 or 4 tablets per day of each split between morning and night if possible.  If you are treating an illness then the recommended dosage would increase to 6-9 per day.

There are obviously many more factors that should be considered when planning any supplement program, but getting started with this type of supplement usage including an Omega-3 oil and at a minimum a whole food multi-vitamin is a great start to protecting your health.  I highly recommend adding Cardio-Plus if possible to round out your basic supplement program. If you are more serious and want to expand your nutrition intake then adding the calcium-magnesium-organic mineral product by Standard Process called Min-Tran would be an excellent choice for bone and muscle health.

As always, I am happy to answer any questions or concerns you may have about supplements or specific health needs. Just send me an email and I will provide any information I have to help you make better choices for you and your family.  Remember, we are far better off preventing any serious illnesses than we are trying to treat them with drugs, chemo or surgery after the fact.

Until next time, stay healthy and happy
