Nicotine for Memory Loss, Gardasil for Boys, Vitamins Prevent Colon Cancer, Drug Side Effects

Nicotine proven to reverse memory loss

Nicotine can be beneficial -- and nowhere does it do you more good than in your brain, with new research confirming that Nicotine can slow, stop and even REVERSE the cognitive slide that often leads to dementia.

Of course, the mainstream will never admit to any such thing -- so for the new study in Neurology, they didn't light up, they used nicotine patches instead.

No matter -- the nicotine still worked its wonders: Nonsmoking seniors who were showing noticeable signs of cognitive decline at the start of the study regained 46 percent of their long-term memory loss after six months on the patch, along with boosts in concentration.

Those who got a placebo patch, on the other hand, had memory loss increasing by another 26 percent over six months.

But again, this is no surprise. Nicotine has been proven to boost the parts of the brain linked to memory and concentration even in people not at risk for dementia.

And that's not all nicotine can do for you. Along with boosting your brainpower, nicotine can help slash your risk of Parkinson's disease, heart disease and even some forms of cancer.

That's why Big Pharma is hard at work on a nicotine pill they hope will be their next "wonder drug" ... but you don't have to wait for them. Just one warning here: Everything comes with side effects, and nicotine is no exception. The researchers behind the new study say the patients who took it consistently lost weight.

Somehow, I think most people will sign up for that "side effect" in a heartbeat.

In latest vaccine marketing fraud, CDC says Gardasil shots should be 'routine' for boys
(NaturalNews) Every male between the ages of 11 and 21 should get a Gardasil vaccine for cervical cancer, and those between the ages of 13 and 21 should also get "catch-up" shots later down the road. This is only the opinion of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), of course, which recently announced its final recommendations for the controversial vaccine.

CBS News reports that, as a followup to its earlier, but incomplete, recommendation back in the fall that boys be given HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccines in addition to girls, the CDC has now formalized its position in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine, as well as in the Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report. The agency is basically now recommending that all young men and women get the Gardasil vaccine.

The CDC announcement comes just days after Canadian health officials made a similar announcement recommending that all boys between the ages of nine and 26 in that country be jabbed with Gardasil. Together, the two announcements could potentially double profits for the vaccine, that is if enough members of the public are foolish enough to actually comply with these new recommendations.

ACIP heavily influenced by Big Pharma

Many of ACIP's members are nominated directly by the drug industry, and often have significant financial ties to vaccine manufacturers. So it is really no surprise that ACIP has made such egregious recommendations without considering the fact that Gardasil has been shown to be medically useless for its stated purpose, and a significant threat to health in many cases.

Dr. Carol Baker, executive director of the Texas Children's Center for Vaccine Awareness and Research, and huge proponent of vaccines, is head of ACIP, which made the recommendation. And Dr. Larry Pickering, executive secretary of ACIP and senior advisor to the director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the CDC, also has an extensive history working for groups that promote vaccines.

Thousands of young girls around the world have suffered debilitating, permanent neurological damage from getting the Gardasil series of shots. Many of them are now paralyzed as well, and suffer from chronic autoimmune disorders, extreme fatigue, and incapacitating muscle weakness, and at least 100 girls have died. If boys start getting the shot as well, you can expect a massive upswing in serious negative side effects and deaths among this segment of the population as well.

The fact of the matter is that Gardasil is a dangerous, unproven vaccine that has no place in medicine. And yet health officials are all too eager to recommend it to practically everyone as if it was some type of miracle treatment.

Antibiotics For Animals

Here's a very encouraging headline from a recent New Scientist article...

"FDA bans some -- but not all -- farmyard antibiotics"

But when I read the article I had to ask, "Really, New Scientist? You're kidding, right?"

In fact, the FDA has put "severe restrictions" on the use of cephalosporin antibiotics in farm animals. But this class of antibiotics accounts for only 0.2 percent of antibiotic use on farms.

Nice work, FDA! After spending three decades analyzing the significant role of farmyard antibiotics in the human antibiotic resistance crisis, you only have 99.8 percent of the job left to do.

Regular vitamin and mineral supplementation lowers colon cancer risk more than eighty percent

(NaturalNews) Researchers publishing in the Canadian Journal of Physiology and Pharmacology (CJPP) have found that a diet enhanced with vitamin and mineral supplementation can lower the risk of developing precancerous colon cancer lesions by up to 84%. Colon cancer is the second most common form of the disease affecting men and women in the US, with nearly 150,000 new diagnoses each year.

Nutrition experts and alternative practitioners understand that cancer is largely a disease caused by poor lifestyle behaviors including a diet lacking an optimal intake of vitamins and minerals. Chronic illnesses including colon cancer are the result of many years and decades of low nutritional status, as support for a healthy immune response is suppressed. Scientists now provide compelling evidence in support of whole-food based vitamin and mineral supplementation to dramatically lower the risk of colorectal cancer.

The study authors used rats that were fed a high fat diet (20% fat intake) for a period of 32 weeks. Rats are commonly used for this type of research because they develop colon cancer polyps and tumors in a manner parallel to humans. The rats were divided into six groups and were subsequently exposed to different combinations of carcinogens and nutritional supplements.

The researchers found that the animals fed a high-fat, low fiber diet and exposed to a carcinogen developed pre-cancerous lesions of the colon along a pathway similar to that found in humans. The group of animals that underwent a similar treatment and diet, but were supplemented with a daily vitamin and mineral supplement showed an 84% reduction in the formation of pre-cancerous lesions and did not develop tumors.

This study is key as it demonstrates the importance of building a solid nutrient base over time to saturate cells and tissues in order to prevent common diseases such as colon cancer. The research authors concluded "multivitamin and mineral supplements synergistically contribute to the cancer chemo-preventative potential, and hence, regular supplements of multivitamins and minerals could reduce the risk of colon cancer."

Health-minded individuals know the importance of obtaining a full range of vitamins and minerals from fresh, raw or minimally cooked foods to promote health. Extensive research is now mounting to suggest that higher amounts of nutrients obtained from a whole food organic vitamin and mineral supplement may be necessary to achieve optimal health and convey maximum protection against colon cancer.

What you don't know about your drugs can hurt you

The average drug lists 70 "official" side effects these days -- and you'd need a magnifying glass, a medical dictionary, and a lot of free time if you ever wanted to read them all.

And if nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, "an unusual urge to gamble" (actual drug side effect), and 66 other possibilities aren't exciting enough, I've got news for you: That's barely the opening chapter.

The average prescription med actually offers FIVE TIMES MORE side effects than what's on the label, according to a new analysis.

How's THAT for exciting?

Stanford University School of Medicine researchers created a computer program to sift through more than 4 million side effects on 1,332 common meds reported to the FDA's Adverse Event Reporting System database.

In other words, it used information the government already has... but doesn't actually know what to do with. (Not that that's a surprise!)

This program didn't just spit out every side effect. It didn't even take it on faith that all 4 million reports were caused by the drugs themselves.

Instead, it grouped the patients reporting those side effects together based on things like lifestyle and medical history, and then used that information to spot trends -- in other words, REAL side effects.

It didn't just find a few more here and there. It found an average of 329 new side effects for EACH of the 1,332 drugs under study -- and that's in addition to the 70 "official" side effects.

That alone is enough for a day's work, even for a computer... but the machine didn't stop there.

It also picked up on 1,301 new drug interactions among people taking more than one med at a time -- including a previously unreported death risk for anyone unlucky enough to mix SSRI antidepressants with common BP meds.

Of course, if you're on prescription meds, you've probably already learned the hard way that side effects aren't limited to what's on the label. And if you haven't, here's your chance: Quit while you're ahead.

Until next time, stay healthy and happy
