If you've got diabetes there's simply no time to waste. You're going to have to stop putting things off, roll up your sleeves and get to work gaining control over this disease, starting right now.
Even if you're only in the early stages... even if you think you've still got time and can worry about it tomorrow... the truth is, time is rapidly running out.
Because right now, at this very moment, diabetes is laying waste to your insides. The disease is wrecking your health from head to toe, setting the stage for everything from painful neuropathy in your feet to brain-eating damage in your skull.
Now, new research has revealed what's going on inside the head of a typical diabetic. Diabetes can put you on the fast track to memory loss and cognitive decline. Folks who have the disease are 80 percent more likely to get dementia.
And, as the new study reveals, even the brains of diabetics who don't yet have any outward signs of dementia can have the telltale damage linked to the disease, including brain tangles and thinning in the cortex, which holds many of your most vital nerve cells.
This means while they might not be slipping into cognitive decline just yet, they're running out of time fast. But it's not all bad news, because this damage isn't a given. It's not something that automatically comes with the disease.
Left unchecked diabetes can unleash this kind of damage. Lack of blood sugar control allows excess sugar to rush through your brain causing neurological carnage. But rein in the disease -- bring your blood sugar back under control -- and you'll prevent the damage and slash your risk of dementia.
Benfotiamine, a fat-soluble form of thiamine, can help put that sugar to work so it doesn't continue to run wild in your bloodstream. Then, get to work reversing any damage that's already taken place, because it's not too late to turn it around.

Getting a high quality B vitamin supplement does not mean buying one off the shelf at your local store. Those are not going to be very helpful. My favorite B supplement is a whole food version with ALL of the B vitamins including B4 which is rarely included in a supplement, but absolutely vital for your health and especially your heart. Recommended dosage is 3-6 per day split up during the day. If you can't find it on Amazon let me know and I will provide you with another source. The benefits of exercise... from a single pill!

When the Big Pharma suits gather in their plush leather chairs in the company's walnut-paneled boardroom to scheme about all the ways they'd love to rip you off in the future, you can bet "exercise in a pill" comes up every single time.
Yes, they'd take a pill like that, mark it up by several thousand percent and laugh themselves all the way to the bank (quite a distance, since their banks are all offshore).
But "exercise in a pill" is already here, right now.
It's not an expensive drug with risks, but a super-cheap and common vitamin with nothing but benefits.
Humble vitamin C can give you many of the benefits of a light workout without doing anything more than swallowing the pill -- especially if, like millions of Americans, you need to drop a few pounds.
Just 500 mg of time-released vitamin C per day can reduce blood vessel constriction, according to a new study of 64 obese people.
In plain talk, blood vessel constriction is when your arteries narrow -- and when your arteries narrow, it's like a traffic jam on the highway... only in this case, it's the highway that carries blood around your body.
It's bad news, my friend -- but the vitamin C capsules not only eased this internal traffic jam, but they did so to the same extent as gentle exercise such as walking.

Is 120/80 a Good Number For Blood Pressure?

Has the federal government just written you a one-way ticket to Alzheimer's disease?
For years I've been warning you how the mainstream's obsession with over-treating high blood pressure was unleashing a dementia and Alzheimer's epidemic on America. And studies by Cambridge, Brigham Young University and the University of Washington have already proven that low blood pressure can destroy your brain.
Popping pills to hit some magic number like 120/80 is a very bad idea.
But now the government's top health agency is secretly working with billion-dollar drug companies to make sure millions of Americans start choking down two, three or even more blood pressure meds every single day.
It's part of a conspiracy to protect billions in Big Pharma profits. Even if it steals your memories in the process.
If you ever needed proof that our government cares more about protecting Big Pharma's bottom line than your health, well, the National Institutes of Health just laid its cards on the table.
But all I see is a pile of jokers.
The NIH zipped off a press release claiming its new research shows you should take three or more blood pressure meds to bring your systolic (top) number to 120 -- or even lower.
It's all based on a study called SPRINT. And that's the right name for it, too, because the Feds couldn't put out this health-wrecking information fast enough.
You see, SPRINT was supposed to be a multi-year study to compare people who had blood pressure readings in the 140 range with those who were pumped full of diuretics, ACE inhibitors and other meds to bring them down to that 120 "magic number."
But the NIH actually stopped the study years early after it claimed it had all the evidence it needed that popping pills by the handful could lower your heart disease and stroke risk.
Dr. Gary Gibbons, head of the NIH Heart, Lung and Blood Institute, said it was important to get this "potentially lifesaving information" in your hands as soon as possible.
Sure. This guy will be trying to sell you the Brooklyn Bridge next.
Because the NIH didn't release this study early to save your life -- it's trying to protect billions in drug company sales! Even if it wrecks your brain.
You see, just last year an international research team from Cambridge, Brigham Young University and the University of Washington analyzed medical records for nearly 30,000 people. They found that reducing your blood pressure too much can send your risk of Alzheimer's through the roof!
And that makes sense. Because as you age, blood pressure that's too low can literally starve your brain by reducing its blood supply.
That's why this study -- and plenty more linking low blood pressure to cognitive decline -- led researchers to start suggesting that there is no reason for people who are over 60 to start on drugs unless their blood pressure is 150/90 or higher.
And you'd better believe that set off alarms in plenty of Big Pharma boardrooms. Two of the five most commonly prescribed drugs in America (lisinopril and metoprolol) are for blood pressure, and this one simple change to prescribing guidelines can cost Big Pharma a fortune.
So our government quietly worked with the drug companies to make sure that never happened.
You see, plenty of scientists have long criticized these government research panels for being a little too cozy with Big Pharma. And you should see the lineup the NIH put together for the SPRINT study.
Dr. Jackson T. Wright, one of the top researchers, consults for AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Merck and 16 other drug companies. He has grants and contracts with GlaxoSmithKline and Novartis.
Another "principle investigator," Dr. Alfred Cheung, gets consulting fees from drug makers Baxter and Amgen and speaking payments from Merck, a company he also owns stock in.
Now doctors like Wright and Cheung want you to throw out all the past research proving that over-treating your blood pressure can harm your brain. Even though they released the SPRINT study before they ever looked at side effects like dementia!
That's no accident. And this may be some of the most crooked government research I've seen. Especially if you're over 60 and you're blood pressure is just a little high, get a second opinion before you let any doc put you on meds.
Because you should never follow the Feds' health advice until you follow the money first.
My Comment:
Unless you have very serious blood pressure problems I would first try some of the natural methods of lowering your blood pressure that don't have the side affects of medication. There are many ways to lower your blood pressure with foods and supplements that will build your body instead of tearing it down. You can find many options online or by working with a naturopath, or let me know and I can provide you with some natural alternatives.
